Meeting Details
Date: June 29
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Rock Creek Fire District Station 3
3209 N 3800 E
Hansen, ID 83334
During this meeting, we will discuss wildfire risks in our area, prevention strategies, and steps residents can take to improve preparedness before fire season intensifies.
Recent fire history near Rock Creek highlights why preparation matters:
Cherry Springs Fire (1985): 7,579 acres
Cave Canyon Fire (2012): 88,819 acres
Badger Fire (2020): 90,142 acres
These fires serve as a reminder that wildfire is a very real threat in our region.
We are also pleased to share that Aaron Latta is leading the Firewise application process for our area. His efforts are helping move our community toward stronger wildfire preparedness and improved protection for residents.
We encourage all residents to attend, ask questions, and learn how we can build a safer, more resilient community together.
We hope to see you there.
